Oh, the love for a Friday. The feeling you get when Friday finally rolls around, no matter the workload that day, you know you have two upcoming days of R&R to rest and then return to the daily grind of the next work week.
With weekends come galas, events and a lot of nonprofits holding charity functions.
Tonight I’m looking forward to the finale fashion show of FashionWeekColumbus which benefits Dress for Success Columbus and Central Ohio Men Against Prostate Cancer.
There are so many amazing nonprofit organizations in this town which is what I love about Columbus so much.
You’ve read about my main organization that I support Kinder Key of Nationwide Children’s Hospital which benefits the Heart Center, but Nationwide Children’s Hospital also has other women auxiliary groups that support different areas of the Hospital.
One being Pleasure Guild. A 103-year-old organization of more than 50 committed women raising funds for the hospice program and palliative care program at Nationwide Children's Hospital.
Each year, they’ve raised over $200,000. That’s amazing! These ladies should feel proud of their time and commitment to giving back to others.
They host several fundraisers including Once Upon A Night(a black tie gala), SPAGIO: A Celebration of Wine, Food and Dining with the Stars and helping out at the Memorial Tournament.
Not only is their leading fundraiser held annually in March at the Palace, (a professionally directed family play production) they’re also lead by a very committed and talented lady who has been with the organization for three years.
She is a 31-year-old Columbus native, who currently resides in Dublin and works with BNY Mellon Wealth management.
So who is Pleasure Guild’s leading lady and President of the organization?
