Jim Coleman, a business professional in business development, a corporate, marketing & government affairs consultant, has said its been a long strange trip over the past twenty years. Jim left San Diego to run corporate fundraising campaigns for the United Way of Franklin County. In the subsequent years he has had an extremely diverse group of experiences and clients such as working at a nonprofit fundraiser tapped to be the finance director for George Voinovich’s senate campaign. Kasich, Bush and Schwarzenegger were just a few of his clients. He then took his business relationships and love for the outdoors to become an environmental lobbyist. He was also part of the team that started City Year Columbus and Cleveland. Jim has a great and passionate voice for his clients and community. He is fighter who actively promotes and raises funds for the arts, battle against cancer and has become a champion for alternative transportation. He is often referred to as a bike activist, but Jim will quickly correct people: “I am a local business advocate with a very loud bike.” Jim currently sits on the Joan’s Foundation Board at the James Cancer Center, YAY bikes, The Athletic Club of Columbus and is the first advisory board president for ShadowboxLive. Jim had written for conservative environmental, alternative transportation and biking blogs. He was also a contributor for CMH magazine.
